School of Arts academic teaching staff deliver research-led programmes of study all with important connections to professions and practice. The School of Arts has a global reputation for its dynamism and innovation in teaching and research, which is reflected in the distinctiveness of our programmes as well the quality and impact of staff research.
We offer study in the historical city of Canterbury, centrally located within the picturesque campus. You can study undergraduate and postgraduate courses in History and Philosophy of Art, Drama and Theatre as well as Film.

During recent years the School of Arts has welcomed students from over 20 countries including: Jordan, US, Germany, Greece, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, China, Romania, Cyprus, Malta, Estonia, Taiwan, Turkey, Bahrain, Brunei, Brazil, Canada, Japan and India. Meanwhile our academic staff come from as far afield as New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Belgium, USA, Canada, Serbia, Greece, Malta, Brazil, France, and Hong Kong.
A range of a term abroad, a year abroad and an international placements are also available in many of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We also have our own campus in Paris, the Paris School of Art and Culture, where film and history of art students can follow a specially designed MA Film (Paris)programme and MA History and Philosophy of Art (Paris) programme. We also offer a term studying at our Rome campus on our History of Art (Rome) MA programme.
