Introduction

The mission of the College of Education is to achieve prominence locally, nationally, and internationally as a leading source of significant knowledge and innovative models to inform and affect policy, practice, and research.

Strategic Plan

The College of Education is currently engaged in strategic planning to align its mission with UNLV's Tier 1 status.

A Unique Learning Environment

As part of culturally diverse community and within one of the largest school districts in the United States, the College of Education at UNLV offers its students a unique learning environment with direct preparation in PK-16 and other community settings.

The college is composed of four academic departments that offer undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and certificate programs:

• Counselor Education, Human Services and School Psychology

• Early Childhood, Multilingual and Special Education

• Educational Psychology and Higher Education

• Teaching and Learning

Collectively, these programs are in early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, special education, English language learning, clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, school psychology, educational policy and leadership, higher education, learning and technology, curriculum and instruction, and teacher education.
