Established in 1973 with the main campus located in the small city of Victoria, Texas, UHV offers courses leading to 70 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and concentrations.

Dynamic Destination

Face-to-face classes are offered at UHV’s main campus in Victoria, as well as a teaching site in Katy, a Houston suburb. Online classes allow students to earn a degree from anywhere. The main campus is located in the welcoming town of Victoria, conveniently located just two hours from the major cities of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi.

UHV prides itself on the personalized attention faculty and staff provides to students. In fact, the faculty-to-student ratio in classes is just 18:1. Master in Forensic Psychology

Our program prepares students to become licensed mental health workers in the field of forensics. We prepare students for forensic psychology jobs working with forensic populations. We send our students out into the real world through practicum. This is an incredible experience for our students and for the sites, as well. Our students apply theory and techniques they've learned in the real world at each site. [+]

Our program prepares students to become licensed mental health workers in the field of forensics. We prepare students for forensic psychology jobs working with forensic populations. We send our students out into the real world through practicum. This is an incredible experience for our students and for the sites, as well. Our students apply theory and techniques they've learned in the real world at each site.

We often get feedback from the practicum sites with how impressed they are with our students. Our students often stay at their sites after practicum, graduation, and as employees. The practicum site supervisors are impressed with the skills and knowledge of our students.

UHV’s M.A. program in Forensic Psychology requires undergraduate coursework in Statistics, Research Methods, and Abnormal Psychology as prerequisites to the Forensic Psychology program. If you have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related degree program and would like to pursue a graduate degree with a focus on theoretical or engineering aspects of computing technology the Master's degree in Computer Science may be a good fit for you. This graduate program in Computer Science will focus on the theoretical and engineering aspects of computer science. If you have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related degree program and would like to pursue a graduate degree with a focus on theoretical or engineering aspects of computing technology the Master's degree in Computer Science may be a good fit for you.

Students pursuing this degree program are required to complete 36 credit hours; 12 hours of core, 18-24 hours of prescribed electives and an optional 6-hour thesis. The four core courses are:
