Glasgow Caledonian New York College

Introduction

Founded by Glasgow Caledonian University, the University for the Common Good, Glasgow Caledonian New York College (GCNYC) leverages 142 years of academic excellence to bring a distinctly global perspective to degree programs focused on profitable sustainability. With GCU’s presence in Glasgow, London, Bangladesh, South Africa and Mauritius, GCNYC shares a commitment to people, planet, and profit with more than 20,000 students and 1,500 staff.

Advanced Programs

GCNYC’s research-based master’s programs are designed for students to enter as experts in their sectors and graduate as responsible leaders, with the analytical skills and clear personal values necessary to create successful careers as truly globally minded corporate statesmen.

Students dive deeply into the worlds of fashion marketing and branding, social business and microfinance, or risk management – building the skills, knowledge and unique perspectives necessary to create successful companies and careers. As demonstrated by the work of the Fair Fashion Center, based on campus, our programs also prepare students to act as leaders who are able to balance societal priorities, environmental preservation and high standards of ethics, while continuing to deliver financial success.

The programs are based on the best of Scottish and American higher education practices and are intended to be as practical as they are progressive, using real-life examples and challenging students to immediately practice what they have learned in class. All master’s programs are offered on a part- and full-time basis, in order to create a dynamic mix of practicing professionals, career changers, and new graduates.
