Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea

Introduction

In 2006 Real Madrid C.F.and Universidad Europea de Madrid created the first University School specialized in sports and its relationship with management, health, communications, and leisure/recreation.

The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea extends beyond the boundaries of sports by training professional leaders in all the disciplines that are associated, one way or another, with this area. The graduate programs focus on different areas and are designed for university graduates and working professionals from the different sectors linked to both professional and amateur sports.

The School was created with a strong international component, just like the two institutions that back it. On one side there is Real Madrid Football Club, which took a Spanish company and made it into a leading international force; on the other is Universidad Europea de Madrid, a member of Laureate International Universities, a world leader in advanced education.

The guiding educational principle behind each of the graduate degrees of the Real Madrid International Professional School is a professional focus. The design and implementation of these programs are carried out by professionals from both Real Madrid as well as Universidad Europea de Madrid, highly prestigious in their respective fields.

With the goal of providing practical education, the graduate programs are taught in state-of-the-art facilities: the Real Madrid facilities at its brand new Sports City and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, as well as Universidad Europea de Madrid’s campuses in Alcobendas (Madrid) and Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid) In addition, most of the graduate programs include visits to companies or to events related to the curriculum, such as the All England Club where the famous Wimbledon Grand Slam takes place, in the case of the Alfredo Di Stefano MBA in Sports Management.

International network

The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea has an international focus, as do the institutions that back it. Real Madrid CF transcends localism by virtue of its worldwide recognition and tradition. In addition, the Universidad Europea de Madrid is part of the Laureate International Universities group, a global leader in higher education.

This alliance could only lead to an internationally ambitious project, and that is why at present Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea is now present in several countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and America.

In line with our commitment to academic excellence and our professional approach, when setting up a School in a new country we review programs beforehand. We check that they are in sync with the reality of each location, ensuring a highly rewarding experience for our students. In addition, each program has an international faculty made up of Spanish teaching professionals working alongside top professionals from the country in which the graduate programs are taught.

Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea educational programs are now taught in several universities around the world.

Alcobendas Campus

The building is located in the city of Alcobendas and measures 13,000 m2. Its four stories house the following: more than 50 classrooms, computer labs, faculty offices, group project rooms for students, tutoring offices, and multi-purpose spaces. The building is fitted with the latest in teaching equipment and computer networks. Accessible for the disabled.

Villaviciosa de Odón Campus

The Villaviciosa de Odón campus has the necessary infrastructure to optimize one’s learning experience. In terms of sports facilities, there is the Sports Complex, which has courts and specialized areas for practising each discipline, as well as the most up-to-date laboratories for motor skills, exercise physiology, and biomechanics of movement. It provides the perfect framework for teaching as well as sports training.

There are also two on-campus student dormitories with a capacity of more than 550. This option guarantees convenient living for students, with all the necessary amenities.

Santiago Bernabéu

Few stadiums in the world have such highly professional operations in all areas as does the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. There are many details that make the Bernabéu Stadium unique in the world. The organization successfully used the best aspects of other stadiums and adapted these to its needs. This explains why Cisco Systems, one of the most highly capitalized IT companies in the world, chooses the Santiago Bernabéu stadium as the model example in stadium management.

Real Madrid’s Sports City

Real Madrid’s Sports City is the largest sports complex ever built by a football organization. Its 1,200,000 square meters is home to both sports professionals and fans alike. Its location is in the privileged area of Parque de Valdebebas, one of the most up-and-coming areas of the capital.
