Introduction

Университет ИТМО – ведущий вуз России в области информационных и фотонных технологий, один из немногих российских вузов, получивших в 2009 году статус национального исследовательского университета.

С 2013 года Университет ИТМО – участник программы повышения конкурентоспособности российских университетов среди ведущих мировых научно-образовательных центров, известной как «5 в 100». КОМАНДА УНИВЕРСИТЕТА ИТМО

В составе Университета ИТМО функционируют более 20 институтов и факультетов, где обучаются около 12 тысяч студентов и аспирантов, работают 1200 преподавателей и научных сотрудников (из них около 700 – доктора и кандидаты наук).

УНИВЕРСИТЕТ ИТМО - ИССЛЕДОВАТЕЛЬСКИЙ

Университет ИТМО развивает фундаментальные и прикладные исследования, стремясь к объединению науки и бизнеса. Университет прилагает максимум усилий для того, чтобы передовые научные разработки успешно выводились на рынок, а запросы бизнеса были услышаны учеными и разработчиками.

Основные научные и исследовательские направления работы Университета ИТМО – компьютерные и информационные технологии, системы управления, фотонные и оптические системы и технологии, новые материалы, наносистемы и нанотехнологии, прецизионная техника и сенсорика, социальные технологии.

Результатом тесного взаимодействия науки и бизнеса стало открытие кафедр, базирующихся непосредственно на предприятиях: ЗАО «Оптоган», ЗАО «Диаконт», ОАО «ЛОМО», ВНИИМ им. Д. И. Менделеева, ОАО «Техприбор», ОАО «НПП Радар ММС», ОАО «Авангард», ОАО «Концерн «ЦНИИ «Электроприбор» и многих других.

УНИВЕРСИТЕТ ИТМО - ПРЕДПРИНИМАТЕЛЬСКИЙ

В Университете ИТМО создана уникальная система инновационной и предпринимательской деятельности. Действуют бизнес-инкубаторы, стартап-акселератор и технопарк. Результатом целенаправленной работы по стимуляции научного предпринимательства стало открытие 39 малых инновационных предприятий, пять из которых – с участием зарубежных партнеров. На этих предприятиях работаютуже более 100 студентов, аспирантов и сотрудников. Университетом подписаны соглашения с фондом «Сколково», Агентством стратегических инициатив, ОАО «РОСНАНО» и рядом регионов России. В 2011 году ИТМО и «Сколково» создали Ассоциацию предпринимательских университетов России. С 2013 года Университет является венчурным партнером ОАО «РВК».

УНИВЕРСИТЕТ ИТМО - МЕЖДУНАРОДНЫЙ

Университет постоянно расширяет базу международных контактов и сотрудничает с более чем 180 зарубежными вузами, активно участвует в Болонском процессе. Университет ИТМО – базовый вуз Университета Шанхайской организации сотрудничества, член Европейской ассоциации университетов.

В университетепод совместным руководством российских и иностранных ученых работает более 40 международных научных лабораторий,специализирующихся в различных научных областях.

Команда Университета ИТМО является единственным в мире пятикратным обладателем чемпионского титула студенческого чемпионата мира по программированию (ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest).

В 2012 и 2013 году Ассоциация студенческого самоуправления Университета ИТМО стала победителем Всероссийского конкурса поддержки деятельности студенческих объединений.

Развивая творческое и креативное начало наших студентов, мы стремимся к тому, чтобы новое поколение умело лучше организовывать свое время, самостоятельно принимало решения, работало в коллективе – ведь именно это делает выпускников университетаеще более ценными специалистами.

Каждый год дипломы Университета ИТМО получают около 3000 отлично подготовленных профессионалов – программистов, инженеров, ученых, предпринимателей. Все они поддерживают связь с университетом: преподают, проводят встречи со студентами, приглашают их на стажировки в свои компании, участвуют в проектах университета в качестве экспертов.
