University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB) is the most important technical university in Romania. Its traditions are connected to the founding of the first higher technical school in 1818 by Gheorghe Lazar. Born in Avrig, Gheorghe Lazar studied in Sibiu, Cluj and Vienna. University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is the largest and the oldest technical university in the country and among the most prestigious universities in Romania. The Master of Science program entitled Chemical Processes Engineering (CPE) is designed for the pursuit of advanced chemical engineering education of graduate students at an appropriate level for research and design abilities. The Master of Science program entitled Chemical Processes Engineering (CPE) is designed for the pursuit of advanced chemical engineering education of graduate students at an appropriate level for research and design abilities. The Education Plan includes advanced disciplines, complementary to those studied during the graduate studies (Fluid Flow in Multiphase Systems, Advanced Separation Methods, Intensification of Transfer Processes, Heterogeneous Reactors, Automation of Chemical Processes), as well as new disciplines, to complete the professional training (Catalysis and Catalytic Processes, Thermal and Refrigeration Equipment, Dynamics of Chemical Processes, Management and Legislation for Chemical and Biochemical Fabrications). The skills in the technological design of equipment and installations are developed both by thorough study of engineering fundamentals and special equipment design activities, and a discipline directly related to this activity (Design of Equipment in Process Industries). An important part of the Education Plan is reserved for research activities, with individual working themes to be solved by each student under academic supervision. Research projects are connected to the traditional directions in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering: mathematical modeling, simulation of chemical and biochemical processes, experimental and theoretical kinetic studies of transfer phenomena and chemical transformations, optimization studies of operating and design of equipment and installations, a. o. Teaching and research activities are carried out and coordinated by experienced academics, mostly affiliated to the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. There are discussed security issues of the electronic information from the perspective of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, and non-repudiation of the information. The course is a natural continuation of the discipline of “Cryptography” and addresses from practical perspective of the cryptographic techniques and protocols (authentication, secret sharing, key exchange, subliminal channels), with applications in e-mail security, IP security, Web security and security of computer network (protected by firewall, IDS, IPS devices and antivirus protection techniques). Also, the course presents principles used in security evaluation of cryptographic modules, products, and applications derived from industrial security standards: Security Requirements for Cryptographic Modules (ISO 19790) and Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (ISO 15408). The master's training is aimed at assimilating knowledge and training skills in the study of physicochemical processes that take place in the production of metallic biomaterials, the use of methods of structural analysis and mechanical characterization of metallic materials, biomaterial processing, biomaterial investigation and testing, increasing the biocompatibility of medical devices by making biointerlates and/or bioactive. A special feature in mastering is the analysis and processing of CT / MRI imaging and the simulation of surgical interventions with specialized software (MIMICS), as well as the computerized design and simulation of effort in prosthetic elements with other specific software (ANSYS) [+]
