The master’s degree program Construction Management and Engineering (CME) is offered by the Built Environment (BE) and Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) departments, with their distinctive research-driven and project-oriented approach to education. In this interdepartmental program, the focus is Construction Management & Urban Development: using urban/building sciences and management and innovation sciences to develop solutions for urban development with particular emphasis on smart cities. CME graduation projects are closely related to ongoing research projects in the BE and IE&IS departments.

Embedded systems: you will find these in dozens of products that we use every day, such as television sets and copiers. The combination of computer science (software) and electrical engineering (hardware) in these types of equipment requires an integrated approach towards the design process. And that, in turn, requires a new type of engineer who has a knowledge of both software and hardware.

The emphasis of the Master's degree program in Embedded Systems lies in the design of efficient and reliable systems. In order to be able to construct reliable protocols for the behavior of complex software systems, you need to have knowledge of algorithms, performance, hardware and design and documentation methods. Manufacturing Systems Engineering is a unique program in the Netherlands on the interface of machine technology and industrial processes. The Master's part of the Photonics Program belongs to the Graduate Program for Photonics, which is intended for students who pursue a Master's program that prepares for and is coherent with a subsequent PhD project that is carried out in the COBRA Research Institute Students can enroll at the master level through the master Applied Physics (AP) or Electrical Engineering (EE), and as such obtain all qualifications, competences and recognitions of these Masters. Fusion research is accelerating, ITER needs well-trained engineers

The worldwide collaboration on the development of nuclear fusion as a safe, clean and inexhaustible energy source is now culminating in the construction of the large test reactor ITER. ITER is being built in Europe (in Cadarache, France) and will demonstrate 10-fold power multiplication at the 500 MW level.

The ITER project is giving the science and engineering of nuclear fusion a major boost. ITER will also need a new generation of highly trained engineers and scientists for its operation. The Eindhoven University of Technology has selected fusion science and technology as one of its high profile areas, by starting a dedicated research group and establishing a full-blown education program on fusion at the Master level.... The Master's Program Sustainable Energy Technology trains its students to be able to anticipate the change processes in the energy market. Social demand for sustainable energy supplies is growing.
