Medine Education Village was launched in 2012, a project stemming from the century-old group’s vision to position Mauritius as a centre of excellence in higher education. This ambitious project has grown its foothold since and built a portfolio of elite and world-ranked institutions around education, research and innovation. Our aim at Medine Education Village is to train brilliant students into leaders of tomorrow.
We embarked ESCP-Europe, the oldest business school in the world, SUPInfo among the leaders in computer engineering and Vatel, major world player in hospitality management.
In 2015, we deployed a new concept labelled ICSIA – International Campus for Sustainable and Innovative Africa, designed to accommodate elite institutions and welcome high net worth students recruited both locally and internationally. It is geared towards seeding values that make the project a distinctive one: Pluridisciplinary, Innovative, Bilingual, Committed and Professional.
The ICSIA project encompasses 7 distinctive institutions: Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Université Paris Descartes, Ecole Supérieure d’Architecture de Nantes (ENSA), Ecole gastronomique Ferrandi, ESSEC Business School and ISIT, of which the first two are both launched and scheduled to start their operations in October 2016.
Medine Education Village today hosts a selective list of the finest institutions on its 9-hectares campus in Mauritius. They are Université Panthéon-Assas for LL.M and LL.B programmes, Ecole Centrale de Nantes for Engineering, ESCP-Europe for Management, and SUPINFO for computer engineering studies.
