The programme provides students with the latest and in-depth knowledge in environmental technology and management. The emphasis is on current approaches in solving complex environmental issues and problems. These include environmental policy, pollution control, environmental management systems and waste management. [+]

Master of Engineering (Environmental Management) The programme provides students with the latest and in-depth knowledge in environmental technology and management. The emphasis is on current approaches in solving complex environmental issues and problems. These include environmental policy, pollution control, environmental management systems and waste management. In general, the objectives of the programme are to produce graduates who (i) understand the principles of environmental engineering; (ii) can practice in accordance to international standards in solving real world application problems; (iii) can plan, design, analyze, and implement environmental engineering projects; (iv) are able to communicate effectively in a team and with stakeholders; (v) can work independently and conduct lifelong learning and adapt readily to changing situations; and (vi) manage to demonstrate consistent professional ethics with high integrity. Master of Forensics Engineering

The program aims to integrate and generate an advanced and in-depth knowledge in specific field of Forensic Engineering in professional practices. This program combines four main areas which relates to the failure of structural and construction in civil, electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering. [+]

Master of Forensics Engineering The program aims to integrate and generate an advanced and in-depth knowledge in specific field of Forensic Engineering in professional practices. This program combines four main areas which relates to the failure of structural and construction in civil, electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering. The purpose of a forensic engineering investigation is to locate cause or causes of failure with a view to improve performance or life of a component, or to assist a court in determining the facts of an accident. Forensic engineers often are used in product liability cases, a type of civil court case, and, occasionally, criminal cases, to investigate and testify about the source of a product’s, design’s or object’s failure. Master of Philosophy (Highway & Traffic)

The programme is offered to those interested in in-depth research on a specialized area. A student must take one university general elective course (3 credits) and a research project equivalent to 33 credit hours. [+]

Master of Philosophy (Highway & Traffic) The programme is offered to those interested in in-depth research on a specialized area. A student must take one university general elective course (3 credits) and a research project equivalent to 33 credit hours. A lecturer or a panel of lecturers appointed by the faculty will supervise the research work. The minimum duration for full time students is three (3) semesters. The student may be allowed to convert his/her programme of study to Ph.D. degree subjected to approval by the faculty. The student may carry out research in any research area as stated in the Areas of Research Section. Assessment is based on the semester progress reports, and the award of the degree is based on the submission and presentation of the thesis (viva voce). The fields of specialization are Structures, Materials, Geotechnic, Transportation, Traffic, Highway, Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Resources, Coastal and Maritime, Environmental, Wastewater, Construction Management and Construction Technology.
