Studying at RU
Reykjavik University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programmes, taught in four schools: School of Business, School of Computer Science, School of Science and Engineering and School of Law. RU also hosts a number of research institutes, which span the continuum from theoretical foundations to innovative applications. The University study programmes are designed in close collaboration with industry to ensure they are up to date with latest developments in the rapidly changing areas of engineering, computing, business and law.

RU graduate programmes are 90-120 ECTS and take two years of full-time study to complete. All departments offer graduate programmes taught in English.
Application deadline for graduate studies at Reykjavik University is April 30th for students within the EU/EEA. For other students, the application deadline is January 31st for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
Applicants should as a general rule have completed a matriculation examination or equivalent. Other education and experience are considered on an individual basis.
The academic year at RU is divided into two semesters. The autumn semester runs from mid-August to mid-December and the spring semester from January to May.
