The University of Pannonia Kőszeg Campus was established in 2015. Before becoming a university campus, the Institute for Social and European Studies Foundation had already had a 20-year-long activity providing postgraduate training programs in Kőszeg. The International Studies MA and Cultural Heritage Management postgraduate programs have offered courses in collaboration with Hungarian or other European universities in English and in The Hungarian language for international and local students. The Foundation has organized summer universities annually for two decades, the topics of which have always covered different, currently urgent social scientific issues. Besides teaching, it has conducted research programs, individually or in cooperation with multinational companies or governmental organizations, which were supported by international EU funding. Currently, Kőszeg is one of the campuses of the University of Pannonia, backed by the intellectual and material capacity of UniPannon and The Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK). The campus continuously broadens its network of cooperation with Western-Transdanubian companies, civic organizations, cultural institutes, schools, and universities.
