Skandinavians automatically get a 3 months visa upon entry at the airports in Argentina and Nicaragua, providing you have the necessary return ticket. Student insurance To make sure that all our students are sufficiently insured throughout the whole study period abroad, Kulturstudier has entered an agreement with Gouda travel insurance. This insurance is mandatory for Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and German students, and costs NOK 3450 for one semester (NOK 6050 for two semesters). Students from other countries need to prove that they are sufficiently insured. You will receive the insurance card and invoice from Kulturstudier well before the beginning of the semester. Finances and budget We are proud to keep the program fee at a level that a normal student economy can handle. As all our courses give 30 ECTS (or the equivalent) it is also possible to apply for student loans and scholarships in most European countries. In addition to the programme fee (that includes accommodation) you will need at least 3000 Euro for travel, books, pocket money and other expenses. Literature The majority of the literature will be gathered in compendiums that can be downloaded for free, and you can buy a print out version when you arrive at the study center. You will be informed in due time about which books you need to purchase. The application process Places are allocated on an ongoing basis as long as they are available. However, to give yourself sufficient time for both the academic and practical preparations you should decide at least 2 months before the courses begin at the study location; ie. July 1 for the autumn and December 1 for the spring. If you are eligible to study at university level, and want to follow one or two of our courses, you should fill in the online application form. If we have an available spot on you preferred course, we will send you an offer. To confirm and reserve your place on the course you pay a 250 euro deposit. In 1969, the Institute was then re-designated as the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration to reflect its expanded functions. For more than 50 years, GIMPA’s activities have been guided by five successive mandates, beginning with the first legislative instrument of 1961 to the current GIMPA Act, 2004 (Act 676). Each mandate affirmed the status of the Institute as the national management development institute to provide for the study of public administration and management of Ghana. By its latest mandate, GIMPA now offers courses in its areas of competence leading to the award of certificates, diplomas and degrees up to the doctoral level. Since… [+] those early beginnings, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has established and managed, in partnership with the Government of Ghana, hundreds of primary schools, many high schools and colleges of education. These schools and colleges, guided by the proverbial Presbyterian discipline, set very high moral as well as educational standards, which have characterized the Presbyterian Education tradition. Also in partnership with government, the church has provided and managed Professional, Technical and Vocational Institutions in a wide range of fields including Agriculture and Health. Specifically, the church has established 1,886 schools comprising 490 Nurseries, 973 Primary Schools, 388 Junior High Schools, five (5) Vocational Institutes, five (5) Colleges of Education and 25 Senior High Schools. With the establishment of the Presbyterian Training College (PTC), it was hoped that, like the Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone, it might one day be upgraded to a university.
