Our Double Degree Program with two master's degrees at the same time

In our double Master’s program, you study an MSc at the Hamburg University of Technology and at the same time, a Master’s in Technology Management at the NIT. The design of the NIT program is specifically for engineers and is an ideal addition to your competencies. Are you passionate about engineering, but you want to go a step further? How about adding general management know-how, leadership skills, expertise in entrepreneurial management and proficiency in another foreign language to your profile? Our Double Degree Programs meet the industry demand for engineering with a business education.

With this unique combination of degrees, your skills will be in demand as you can then combine technical know-how with firm grasp of management in an international marketplace.

The NIT was founded in 1998 by 40 Professors of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) driven by an initiative of Professor Dr. Hauke Trinks, President of TUHH at that time. His idea was as simple as convincing: to set up a totally postgraduate institution in order to offer an all-English double degree program that is unique to Europe and attracted top students, faculty, and companies – the Northern Institute of Technology Management (NIT) was born and combines in close cooperation with TUHH an MSc in Engineering and an MBA in Technology Management in 24 months. Alternatively, a Master of Arts in Technology Management is offered for students with less than two years of work experience. The NIT’s own building was constructed with generous support by the Körber Foundation in the year 1999 and is located right on the TUHH campus. It offers modern seminar rooms and office facilities as well as comfortable student apartments, a sports studio and a coffee shop in the light-flooded foyer.
