This Research Master entitled « Electronic and Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical Engineering program» (EME) is a one-year study aiming at bringing students, the theoretical background required to be an expert in the field. This research oriented program is intended to form highly qualified personnel to be active in Mechanical engineering industries (transport, aeronautics, automobile etc). This Research Master is managed by international high-level institutes, Polytech Tours, the Laboratory of Mechanics and Rheology and the research centers CEROC, CERMEL, CERTEMPlus. Invited lectures will be organized with the participation of scientists from partner institutes in UK, Poland, Italy and India This Masters, taught entirely in English, aims to specialize students in the science and engineering of ceramics, metals, polymers/ elastomers, and composites, with emphasis on a variety of subjects like materials for electronics, biomaterials, nanotechnologies, mechanics, design, numerical modeling, reliability, life cycle analysis, fracture analysis etc. This program will cater to the needs of both engineering and science majors. Close contacts with the Industry will be provided through off-campus work assignments in industry (internships) or in academic lab. Our goal is to produce well qualified materials scientists and engineers who can function effectively in the technical arena as well as possess the skills to assume leadership roles in industry, academia, and government. This Master aims to help students to develop a critical understanding of contemporary planning challenges for cities and urban regions, in the context of climate change and growing human needs. The programme is designed so that students may confront up to date scientific knowledge on planning with their own cultural background and planning experiences. Through the Master, each student becomes familiar with the advantages and limitations of cross-national transfer of ‘good practices’ in the urban or regional policy field. As a research Master, this program trains students to deal with up to date research issues and methods. It prepares students to start a PhD or to take leadership roles in urban development and management, especially in an international context. Since it opened, in September 2010, this Master has attracted an average of 15 students per year, coming from the EU countries or from countries neighboring the EU, but also from North America, from Asia, and from the Middle East. This Master is offered by the Planning and Environment Department of the Polytechnic School, one of the largest planning schools in France, through its staff, its number of postgraduate students, or its number of graduates. The Master of Fundamental Physics is a prestigious degree that is specifically intended for students interested in the methods and concepts of fundamental physics in the wide range of topics concerned by non linear phenomena, including particle physics, quantum field theory, general relativity, cosmology, propagation of waves in complex media, disordered/chaotic systems. By choosing this master’s degree, you can be assured that you will be taught by a unique blend of leading researchers of different nationalities from two laboratories (LMPT and GREMAN).
