Introduction

The Latin American Center for Innovation in Logistics (CLI), resulting from the alliance between LOGYCA / INVESTIGACIÓN and the MIT Transport & Logistics Center, is the member for Latin America of the SCALE Network, whose acronym in English means “Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence ”.

The SCALE Network is an international alliance of cutting-edge research and education centers, dedicated to the development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chain and logistics. It began in 2003 with the opening of the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain. It was expanded with the opening of the Latin American Center for Innovation in Logistics (CLI) in Bogotá, Colombia in 2008 and three years later, in 2011, with the creation of the Malaysian Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) in Shah Alam, Malaysian.

It currently has six centers of excellence in research on three different continents, with more than 10 educational programs (both virtual and face-to-face), 55 academic peers, 80 researchers, 150 corporate allies, and 1,000 students working around the world.

The main objectives of the SCALE Network are:
