Introduction

The Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana is an institution of higher education of the State of Chile, accredited for four years in the areas of Institutional Management, Undergraduate Teaching, and Connection with the Environment.

Founded in 1993, the UTEM is a member of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH) and the Consortium of State Universities of Chile (CUECH), prestigious entities that bring together the public and traditional higher education houses of our country. It is also an active member of the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL), an international organization that seeks to promote the improvement of its associated institutions through the promotion of relations between Latin American universities and of these with cultural institutions and organizations. international

The University offers a total of 28 undergraduate careers with PSU entry in the areas of knowledge of Administration and Economics, Design and Architecture, Construction, Sciences and Engineering.

It has three campuses in the Metropolitan Region with more than 72 thousand square meters of construction between classrooms, laboratories, libraries, casinos and rooms for events (SIES 2018). Its total enrollment is more than 8 thousand five hundred students. It should be noted that more than 5,000 of the study with the benefit of gratuity (SIGE-UTEM 2019).
