The M.A. Program in Economics offers a rigorous training that prepares the students for Ph.D. programs and work in the non-academic sectors. Small class sizes give students the opportunity to work closely, in and out of the classroom, with faculty members. You can find graduates from our M.A. program in Ph.D. programs at Rice University, University of Texas, Louisiana State University, University of Alberta, University of Western Ontario, Carleton University, University of Ottawa, Guelph University, McMaster University and University of Manitoba, among others. The Master's Program The Master’s program in Computer Science at the University of Windsor was established in 1989. Since that time, the program has grown to become a strong and useful component which contributes significantly to both research and training of high quality professionals. The number of applicants to our program is at a level which permits the selection of excellent students possessing varied undergraduate and graduate backgrounds. A rigorous qualifying process for Master’s I candidates from non-computer science backgrounds permits excellent students, many of whom already hold post-graduate degrees in other disciplines, to take a core of undergraduate courses before achieving Master’s II status. Although most students pursue their research programs and courses within Computer Science, opportunities exist for courses to be taken and interdisciplinary research to be conducted in collaboration with Faculty in other academic units, including Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. The number of Computer Science core graduate faculty members has increased from 15 to 23 since 1999. All of them are active in supervision and research. Most of them also offer graduate courses regularly. Collective and individual grant levels from NSERC and other agencies have increased by 151% since 1999. Program Overview Investing in your education with the Master of Management - International Accounting and Finance, will provide you with thorough business knowledge that will serve as a foundation throughout your career. This program will help you to become a professional and leader in the international business world. The course based Master of Management - International Accounting and Financing will prepare you for a leadership position within the accounting or nance industry in Canada or abroad. You will study and live in Canada for 16 months. This program includes 12 prescribed courses completed over 4 academic terms. The International Accounting and Finance specialization has two intakes (September and January). In addition to your academic studies, students also participate in the Master of Management Employment Program. Facilitated jointly by the Odette Career and Placement Services and the Centre for Executive and Professional Education, the program guides students towards the development of their Career Portfolio and builds the skills necessary to obtain employment upon graduation. Intakes: September and January Course offerings The Master of Management classes will be conducted over four terms with students taking three courses at a time. The Master of Medical Biotechnology is a professional program offered by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and provides students with a solid foundation of the theoretical concepts and practical industrially-applicable laboratory technique experiences used in medical biotechnology industries. In addition, students will also receive training in business plan development and product commercialization. The skills and knowledge taught in this program will allow you to develop a successful career in biotech entrepreneurship, medical and pharmaceutical materials characterization, medical diagnostics or biotechnology product development/monitoring. In addition, the Master of Medical Biotechnology program can be a route for career advancement if you are currently employed in biotechnology and/or related medical and pharmaceutical industries. Course Offerings You will study and live in Canada for approximately 16 consecutive months while enrolled in 10 prescribed courses.
