The Department of Communication Systems Engineering (CSE) is dedicated to training engineers that can initiate and lead the development of new technologies in the fields of networking and communications. The M.Sc. in Software and Information Systems Engineering Program provides high-level education for researchers and practitioners in a broad range of Artificial Intelligence fields such as Game Theory, Natural Language Processing, Data Science, Machine Learning, Automated Planning, Multi-Agent Systems, Recommendation Systems, Fault Detection and Diagnosis, and Heuristic search.

The aim of the M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering program is to provide students with expertise and advanced knowledge in a selected specialization area within electrical and computer engineering. The M.Sc. program in Physics offers a thesis (research) track and requires two years of full-time study. Outstanding students may enroll in the combined M.Sc.-Ph.D. track during the 2nd year of their M.Sc. studies. M.Sc. in Mathematics program offers an active research environment with a distinctly international character. Every year, students in the program attend a highly distinguished lecture series and participate in international conventions featuring well-known mathematicians.

The M.Sc. in Geological and Environmental Studies Program at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is a research degree with a thesis, designed to impart research skills and professional competence in a variety of fields in geology and environmental science. The study program is subject to rules and regulations set by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, including awarding of credit points and eligibility for scholarships and teaching assistantships.

M.Sc. in Environmental Physics and Solar Energy program is designed for students to gain a deep and diverse understanding and capability in fields related to the environment and natural resources, while also developing their mental flexibility, enabling them to employ methods, terms, and concepts from different areas of research and move between such areas.

M.Sc. in Ecology and Nature Conservation program provides students with a theoretical background in ecology and evolution, with emphasis on biodiversity, community dynamics, and organism-level processes, combined with methodological knowledge, including statistics, mathematics, model development, and assessment procedures specific to nature conservation and management.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology Engineering invests continual efforts in providing students with hands-on experience in laboratory classes that develop skills and experience in engineering in three major clusters: Medical Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology, Energy, and Environmental Biotechnology. The broad topics of research covered by BTE include microbiology, biochemistry, genetic engineering, renewable energy, nutraceuticals, medical sciences, biological drugs, tissue engineering, stem cells, and synthetic biology.

Drylands occupy more than one-third of the earth's land surface, including most of the Middle East and Israel. Dwindling water supplies and deteriorating water quality impede the sustainable development of drylands and the well-being of their growing population. M.Sc. in Hydrology & Water Quality is to introduce students to cutting-edge research and graduate education in water sciences, aimed at improving human life in drylands through technologies and policies for the sustainable use of water resources

The aim of the program is to provide students with expertise and advanced knowledge in a selected field of specialization. Areas of specialization in the Mechanical Engineering M.Sc. program include: Robotics, Control, Autonomous Systems, Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Energy Technologies, Bio inspired Materials and Systems, Micro and Nano-Electromechanical Systems, System Design and Monitoring and Particular materials Technology.

The aim of the M.Sc. program in Materials Engineering is to provide students with expertise and advanced knowledge in their selected field of specialization. M.Sc. students carry out advanced research supervised by an expert faculty member. Students graduating with an M.Sc. degree are qualified for senior R&D positions in industry and can continue towards Ph.D. studies. In particular, M.Sc. studies can be extended to Ph.D. studies in a combined track such that the thesis exam serves also as the Ph.D. candidacy exam.
