Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is a challenging, yet highly rewarding career path, which is especially appropriate for professionals with a high degree of intercultural competence and an interest in working with people from all around the world. Opening doors for teaching both at public and private institutions in countries all over the world, Masters in TESOL graduates are also qualified for administrative positions in language schools, such as supervisory roles or even as the Director of Studies.
Masters in TESOL programs are offered both full time and part time, with programs generally lasting about two years. In addition to an undergraduate degree (Bachelor's) universities and institutions offering Masters in TESOL programs sometimes require applicants to have some teaching experience. Some Masters in TESOL programs are even offered online to make simultaneous study and work possible for teachers.
