The Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program provides comprehensive insight into communication disorders and their consequences for individuals and society. Within five semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring), every graduate student rotates through all six of our practicum sub-clinics in the GW Speech and Hearing Center and completes two externship experiences. Our six specialty tracks include Accent Modification, Acquired Neurological Disorders, Literacy and social Communication Disorders, Hearing Health Care, Pediatric Speech and Language Disorders, and Voice Disorders.

The Master of Science (M.S.) program in Speech-Language Pathology at Thiel College is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Candidacy is a “pre-accreditation” status with the CAA, awarded to developing or emerging programs for a maximum period of 5 years. The program is designed to accompany our Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Upon completion of your undergraduate studies, you will immediately begin the fifteen-month master's program!

The UTS Master of Speech Pathology is a two-year, graduate-entry course. Grounded firmly in the profession with an innovative and practice-based approach, the course enables students to actively participate in learning as they acquire the clinical and professional skills needed to enter the profession of speech pathology.

The purpose is to create a new Master level, "Risk Assessment of xenobiotics and Biotechnological Products (RA-XBP)" equivalent to the second-level higher education award that it refers to the second cycle in the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), designed by the Bologna Accords (1999) which refers to level 7 of the European Union's European Qualifications Framework.

The Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology graduate program enables students to develop professional knowledge and clinical skills. Traditional and non-traditional students will demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities professionally and competently in various clinical settings.
