As a research master's student, you choose one of our three multidisciplinary themes. The theme-specific courses will give you a broad view of the theme and will introduce you to the unique perspectives of the theme-related specializations. In the course of the first semester, you will choose your own specialization. It will enable you to tailor your master's to the topics that you wish to engage in.

The MSc Research Methods is designed to provide a viable academic platform for building research skills based on international standards and academic rigour. The course will help you build research skills should you wish to improve relevant competencies in social sciences. The MSc Research Methods course is based on a unique combination of learning and practice in three dimensions important for research: training on hard skills in research, soft and transferable skills and applied research practices envisaged by developing individual dissertation work and a team-based community project that will provide research-based solutions to a real-life problem.

The Master of Research degree provides the student with a solid grasp of the requirements of research at the graduate level (Master & Doctoral) and gives the student the necessary skills to fully plan academic research. Students pursuing this degree are interested in developing a high-level academic research proposal with a theoretical perspective for independent research that may be accepted at any university-level institution. Most students entering this degree program have the intention of continuing on to complete a Ph.D. program either at Monarch or externally.

The program's goal is to prepare a Master's in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, which will be focused on theoretical and practical activities. Master's in Natural Sciences is oriented on developing necessary general skills of students, which are essential for continuing scientific work on the doctoral level, and on the other hand, for a successful career in the modern labour market.

This program offers rigorous learning in environmental measurements science (metrology) & policy making on how to reliably identify and quantify toxic and hazardous chemicals, assess their impact to human health and ecological risks, and apply the best available scientific data so obtained to environmental policymaking. It focuses on the education and professional training of future generations of leaders and practitioners in the environmental world using measurements science to provide reliable data for developing best environmental policy or laws.
