The Professional Master's Program in Mechanical Engineering is recommended by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) of the Ministry of Education, and currently has a grade of 3 (between 1 and 5). The course's mission is: I) To train qualified masters to develop academic and technical-scientific activities that meet the demands of research and technological innovation, as well as to promote the development of scientific and technological research in the industrial sector. II) Transfer knowledge to society, meeting specific demands with a view to local, regional and national scientific development. III) Promote the integrated articulation of vocational training with demanding entities of different natures, aiming to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public and private organizations by solving problems and generating and applying appropriate innovation processes. IV) Contribute to add competitiveness and increase productivity in companies, public and private organizations. V) To strengthen the relationship between professors, students, and researchers at the University of Taubaté and institutions of teaching, research and technological development, and industries, in line with the Brazilian science and technology policy and the National Postgraduate Plan established by CAPES for the period 2011-2020.
