The Linguistics Division provides the students with a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied linguistics. Each student's program is constructed by the individual student and his/her supervisors.

The Department of Asian Studies currently offers an English-language graduate program in the China section only. The MA program includes a wide variety of courses on Chinese history, archaeology, philosophy, intellectual history, political thought, traditional China’s interaction with Asian and European cultures, as well as culture, society, and politics in traditional, modern, and contemporary China.

This MA programme aims to provide students with a comprehensive and critical understanding of the theory and practice of English in educational and professional contexts.

Zhejiang University (ZJU) is the first in China to grant a master's degree in China Studies approved by the Ministry of Education. Compared to similar programs in the country, the Master of China Studies (MCS) program has the largest enrollment, with the most complete curriculum and the most extensive international cooperation. It is a model brand of ZJU in high-level international education. In November 2014, the Zhejiang University Institute of China Studies (ICS) was established.

The specialty of the French language operates about 19 years at the faculty of International Relations and Foreign Languages.Currently, 55 students study the French language in the I-IV courses. The specialty of the German language was established in 1999-2000 academic year and 15 students were accepted to the specialty in the same year.

Undoubtedly, MA English Philology Program will help to create an international environment at International Black Sea University, and thinking more globally, will contribute to nurturing responsible citizens with correct perceptions of the modern world.

The Japanese Literature program offers an all-encompassing education in the literature of Japan, from the ancient to the medieval and early modern as well as modern and contemporary. The course involves detailed readings of individual works and suggests various ways to approach different authors and the prevailing trends of different eras, resulting in significant findings. Members of the faculty include Professor Iikura Yōichi (early modern literature), Associate Professor Saitō Masao (modern and contemporary literature), and Associate Professor Seta Michio (medieval literature).

The Master in World Literature enables students to gain a broad acquaintance with a gamut of literature across genres from around the world, transitions in the field of literary studies, literary and cultural texts, theories, and methodologies of study as well as undertake coursework with specific, closely defined topics on a variety of literature and cultures and through a variety of materials.

The Master of Arts in China and Regional Studies (CRS) is a comparative area studies programme that aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to examine the multifaceted theoretical and empirical debates surrounding China's engagements with African countries, and its neighbouring countries in Asia and Pacific region.

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at USEK, founded in 2019, is the result of the merge of the Faculty of Letters, Philosophy and Humanities, Sciences and Music and is an academic reengineering process decided in 2017.

The Master of Arts (M.A.) program in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature leads to a post-baccalaureate degree designed for individuals who are interested in multimedia language teaching, Western cultures, and literature. The program’s curriculum is based on the synergy of theory and practice and is developed to help students become outstanding scholars and professionals in the fields of literature and language.

The goal of the School of Foreign Studies is to provide students with an advanced level of understanding and expertise in one of four research areas and to give them a solid framework for a future career in their chosen field. The school offers a two-year interdisciplinary master's program in foreign studies that can be tailor-made to meet students' career goals. Classes usually take place in the evening for students who work during the day; however, scheduling is flexible and can be changed to accommodate the needs of individual students. Registered foreign students are eligible for student visas.

In the Japanese Philosophy field, students approach Japanese language ranging from classical Japanese prior to 8th century to modern Japanese including dialects from multiple points of view. On the other hand, in the Japanese Literature field, students deeply study ‘waka’ and other forms of traditional poems and novels dating back to the ancient times to the late modern period, analyzing and evaluating them.

We expect that while we are developing our features, we can also complete the following achievements: Cultivating the Translation Talents As above mentioned, we cultivate the translation talents who equip themselves with the abilities of ESP that the industries need the most via our programs. Key Position of Translation-related Academic Research Through the international exchanges and the industry-academic cooperation, we consolidate the researches of translation theory by combining both the domestic and foreign sources and strengthen the applied researches such as building up the database of translation terminology. We also would like to extend our researches into leading the studies of translation.

The "Chinese Studies" educational program (EP) is a graduating program. Students study fundamental courses in law, economics, history, culture, and politics of the language, special attention is paid to language training in the main Chinese language, and a language internship in China strengthens the theoretical basis for learning Chinese.
