Data science is a field of work in which professionals seek to extract meaningful information from large amounts of complex data in the search for solutions to business challenges. Coursework may focus on mathematics, statistics, programming, and the development of analytic skills.

A masters is earned after students complete an undergraduate degree program. To obtain a masters, you usually need to complete 12 to 18 college courses that often involve completing comprehensive tests and/or a thesis.
