With a need to double food production by 2050 using fewer resources, students entering the Global Plant Breeding program will be prepared to develop climate-resilient crops that can thrive in sustainable systems. New tools and technologies increase the efficiency of plant breeding, but few plant breeders are trained on new breeding tools (NBTs). Our online degree in plant breeding is accessible worldwide to students interested in utilizing these tools to hit the ground running by obtaining an advanced degree. The curriculum in the Global Plant Breeding (GPB) online masters program is designed with careers in the public and private sectors in mind. The core courses in the GPB MS use real-time plant breeding systems as case studies to showcase the use of core and cross-cutting concepts in practice.

Trinity's M.A. Rural Ministries, an applied research degree in practical theology, is designed to equip students for dynamic and relevant ministry in the rural church or unique cultural contexts. The emphasis of this program applies biblical leadership models to the student’s unique setting to achieve ministry that multiplies.

The M.S. Degree in Plant and Soil Science is designed to further the specialized professional training of students through formal courses while at the same time teaching the student how to conduct research and present pertinent results.

Graduate study is offered in the Department of Forestry leading to the degrees of Master of Science in forestry and Doctor of Philosophy in forest resources. Specialized areas of study include forest business, forest management and economics, forest genetics, forest hydrology and soils, silviculture, forest biometrics, forest photogrammetry and remote sensing, forest tree and seed physiology, forest harvesting, and operations, and forest ecophysiology. The Master of Science in Sustainable Forest Management is appropriate for students who want two or more years of formal graduate work and who wish to develop a limited research specialization. Designed primarily for pursuing careers in research or teaching or those seeking professional development through in-depth research on a topic of interest, the MS program can be either a terminal degree or the first step toward a doctorate. The program provides an opportunity for independent research to be reported in a formal Master’s Thesis. MS students choose from one of the six SFM areas of concentration.

The Division of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, and the College of Agriculture, Community and the Sciences at Kentucky State University offer a Master of Science Degree in Aquaculture/Aquatic Sciences. Aquaculture is the rearing of aquatic organisms under controlled or semi-controlled conditions. Interest in Aquaculture has increased worldwide as fish consumption has increased concurrently with decreasing catches of wild fish. In Kentucky and the southern United States, aquaculture production focuses on raising freshwater species commercially. The curriculum meets criteria established by the University Programs Standards Committee of the American Fisheries Society for Fish Culture Specializations.

The Department offers the only Plant Pathology graduate program in the state. It is accredited through the Graduate School of the University of Arkansas by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
