MA Digital Fashion Innovation encourages and supports designers to explore and work with advanced digital technologies, interrogate and question current fashion practice and challenge the ideals around how a product is realised. Fashion is currently recognised as one of the most damaging industries on the planet, abusing natural resources, dumping masses of redundant waste and product into landfill and flushing tonnes of chemicals into the oceans on a daily basis. It is therefore critical the practice of a designer acknowledges and attempts to address and integrate a conscious and considered approach to both the design and realisation of a fashion product.

The MA Fashion Design Technology program is aimed at students who are ready to challenge traditional fashion industry systems and want to become the catalyst for positive change in their specialism. Technology and human-centric design are at the heart of the program. The use of technology drives the creation of new, original products and allows for experimentation beyond material resources.

MA Fashion: Design at CSVPA is an intensive, contemporary and personalised postgraduate programme which encourages the development of an individual approach to fashion design practice and the articulation of a distinctively value-driven vision. Working within the interdisciplinary and conceptually informed environment of the Graduate School, you will develop the professional skills, confidence and creative focus necessary to embark on a career within contemporary fashion.  

The Fashion Accessories Design MA is aimed at entrepreneurial, internationally minded design graduates, preparing you for leadership roles in leather goods, handbags, printed accessories, and more. You’ll be equipped with advanced professional skills in emerging technologies and innovative textile and fashion systems, preparing you for careers in the global fashion industry.

The Master of Arts in Responsible Fashion Design - Circular Practices for the Fashion Industry, aims to train conscious designers, able to evaluate the systemic implications of projects and positively influence their impacts through the adoption of sustainable practices.

This programme allows you to develop the business/entrepreneurial skills and attributes to commercialise on your creative and cultural practices and/or knowledge.

The Master of Arts in Fashion Design & Management considers the global vision of a brand in which managerial skills are combined with an in-depth knowledge of the world of fashion in order to effectively incorporate the coordinated image, marketing and planning of the product.

The Master’s Degree in Craftsmanship in Contemporary Fashion is tailor-made to meet the growing demand to learn traditional craft techniques, adapting these skills of old and using them with new meaning in modern design. In this course you’ll learn to master traditional craft techniques and processes, exploring skills whose continuity has been threatened by the passage of time.

The purpose of the program is to educate and train researchers who can contribute to the development of knowledge at an advanced level. The Master’s degree is earned by completing a single advanced research project, culminating in the production and acceptance of a dissertation.

Our MA Fashion Design is an intensive, specialist programme that will give you the tools to explore and refine your identity as a fashion design practitioner and entrepreneur. You’ll study in an award-winning fashion department in our £55 million New Adelphi building minutes from Manchester city centre, home to a vibrant commercial fashion sector. As part of the course, you’ll produce your own fashion collection and if selected have the opportunity to showcase it at a major fashion event, in previous years we have shown at both New York and London Fashion Week.

At the end of the course, young designers will have acquired the skills required to work in both French and overseas fashion companies and, where this is their ultimate aim, to create their own fashion label.

Department of Scenography at the Faculty of Architecture and Design consists of five design studios, which conduct an interdisciplinary design and artistic educational work directed at the conscious and responsible shaping of the visual identity of the ‘stage’-the nearest environment. Stage Design and Fashion Design as specializations refer to creating ‘occasional space’ (theatre, TV studio, exhibitions, shows, spectacles, parades etc.).
