The MA in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology is a degree program for educators, psychologists, and other professionals in education who are seeking to work with children, adolescents, families, and schools. The program focuses on the development of specialized knowledge and skills that prepare candidates to conduct assessments, prevention, and interventions for students’ psychological and learning difficulties.

The purpose of the MCom in Industrial Psychology is to develop the intellectual and professional skills to provide evidence of the ability to independently produce scientific work at an acceptable level.

Sofia’s Masters in Counselling Psychology curriculum meets the educational and pre-degree clinical training requirements for both Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellors (LPCC), as established by the California Board of Behavioural Sciences.

The two-year master's program prepares students to function effectively in a wide range of mental health settings with individuals, families, and groups varying widely in age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. The program supports students in thinking critically and self-reflectively and exploring the impact of culture and oppression on their clients' lives and the clinical relationship.

This program takes an integral, transpersonal approach to psychology. It proposes an innovative way of learning and thinking, which goes beyond the basic structures of the rational mind to include the larger environment. It emphasizes the interconnections between all aspects of reality and focuses on deep empathy that relates to the experiences of all people.

This is a 2 year program whose goal is to train and equip professional Christian counsellors with relevant knowledge, skills, attitudes and values in the general and specific areas of counselling psychology, addiction studies; family and marital issues, children and adolescent issues as well as management of trauma that will enable them to effectively meet the needs of society.
