Introduction
Classical Music or Jazz Music
The Master of Classical Music programme emphasizes intensive one-on-one mentorship with master teachers, allowing you to elevate your technical and artistic capabilities to the highest level. The curriculum integrates performance, research, and entrepreneurial skills, preparing you to navigate the diverse and evolving landscape of the music industry. With opportunities to perform as a soloist, join chamber music ensembles, or collaborate in orchestral projects, you’ll gain a comprehensive skill set that equips you for roles in performance, composition, conducting, or teaching. You will also conduct research tailored to your artistic interests, supporting your growth as an independent, thoughtful musician.
In the Master of Jazz programme, you’ll immerse yourself in jazz and related genres, experimenting with styles that span from traditional jazz to contemporary fusion and electronic music. This programme encourages you to explore and innovate, with a curriculum that blends performance-based research, composition, arranging, and production. By collaborating with both fellow students and international guest lecturers, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of your craft and gain exposure to fresh perspectives. Our central location in the Euregion also means performance and networking opportunities in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and beyond.
Whether your goals are to perform, teach, or innovate in music, the Master of Music at Conservatorium Maastricht provides the ideal environment to advance your career and achieve artistic excellence.
