Following the new educational standards, the educational program is aimed at training specialists in the field of geology and exploration of mineral deposits; training of heads of various units of enterprises and organizations engaged in the geological study of subsoil and the development of advanced technologies in geo-mapping and computer mapping, as well as modeling the processes of ore formation and the development of geological and structural elements of the earth's crust.

The graduate possesses modern information technologies, including obtaining, processing, and storing scientific information, can form and solve contemporary scientific and practical problems, plan and conduct research activities, teach in universities, and successfully carry out research and management activities.
