Introduction

The graduate program in Montessori education at Xavier University is based on a strong foundation in child development. Graduate students gain an understanding of Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy in light of the education of the past and present. The Montessori curriculum prepares students to teach all aspects of the program, from practical life and art to math, science and history, and grants an American Montessori Credential and Ohio Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten to grade 3 licensure.
