Situated within the College’s postgraduate Fashion Business portfolio, which also includes master’s programmes in International Luxury Business, and Entrepreneurship: Fashion & Creative Industries, by pursuing our MA in Fashion Communication you will share some taught sessions and projects with your counterparts in other Fashion Business master’s programmes. This collaborative approach ensures that you acquire a holistic and dynamic understanding of the fashion business industries.
This programme is thoughtfully tailored to allow you to carve out your niche in the fashion industry, even if you lack prior experience in this domain. Curriculum
The programme is structured as four 10-week terms. The first three are taught and the final term is dedicated to independent study to complete the final projects and a thesis. The programme structure consists of modules that are shared across all Fashion Business programmes, which focus on research skills and building critical awareness of current issues as well as developments in the fashion, media and luxury industries along with programme-specific modules that enable you to acquire technical and practical skills aligned with your career goals.

Term 3 - Spring Term:

Term Overviews
The first term of this MA programme explores brand communication and marketing strategy within the fashion and creative industries. Alongside this, you will be introduced to a range of research methods and techniques used to develop an insight into audiences to enhance your ability to think critically and analytically.
The second term aims to stretch your imagination, creativity and foresight – you are asked to re-imagine the fashion industry and question how fashion will be experienced and used in the future. You will gain an understanding of how fashion forecasting and prediction methodologies are utilised to propose highly innovative concepts for future thinking brand experiences.
The third term develops collaborative skills and ingenuity, introducing deeper connections with industry partners during the introduction of an industry-focused project. A key element during this term will be for you to explore your own potential role in the industry and reflect on how you can make a positive impact through your chosen specialist field.
The final term consolidates key aspects of your previous study while enabling you to develop your own creative ideas and fashion communication concepts. The final project, delivered during this term will be an opportunity for you to present a significant body of work related to your chosen specialism, supported by a thesis that demonstrates your academic ability, independent thinking and creativity.
Students graduating from this course have a broad range of opportunities available to them upon graduation. They might aspire to work in marketing, media, communications, PR, branding, retail, social media or creative advertising.
