Introduction
The purpose of the Mathematics programme is to train qualified specialists who have an advanced knowledge of pure and applied mathematics and strong problem-solving skills so that they can successfully tackle challenging scientific, industrial and economic problems. The graduates will be professionals in modelling and decision-making for different processes in industry and research.
Why choose this programme?
- The strength of this programme is the universality of mathematics, so the acquired methods can be applied in a wide range of fields. Graduates can easily adapt to work in various business, trade, enterprise, IT, finance and insurance companies, as well as in research and education institutions.
Career Opportunities
- Graduates of the programme will be able to work in science and education institutions, high-technology industries, agencies involved in data analysis and social investigations, and management institutions. Graduates will also be able to pursue a career in any other sphere where their mathematical knowledge, analytical skills and their ability to use specialised software are needed.
- Graduates can also pursue further studies at the doctoral level in Mathematics or Computer Sciences.

Program Outcome
The holder of a Master’s degree in Mathematics has a good insight into mathematical propositions, and is able to prove them and analyse their logical relations. He/she has good working abilities to create a deterministic or stochastic mathematical model of a real process, to analyse and interpret it and to present conclusions. He/she has skills in using computer facilities and information technologies. He/she is also able to work creatively and is open to further education and the development of his/her skills.
