Introduction
About the program
The Master of Science (Management) was introduced to produce graduates who have deep knowledge about the management aspect of a business and capable of performing relevant tasks in today’s global business environment. The objective is to produce excellent and professional executives that are capable of translating the theory learned during classes into practice. Graduates of this program are also expected to become capable leaders that can identify and resolve issues and problems related to management and business, domestically or internationally.
Program Aims
The aim of the MSc. Management program is to produce graduates who possess management knowledge and professional skills and prepare them for the challenges of managing the organization in the current global business environment.
MSc. Management Curriculum
The MSc. Management by coursework program structure consists of 10 courses (8 core courses and 2electives) that will provide an in-depth knowledge in the field of business management. Students are also required to write a dissertation once they have completed all their courses so that they will be able to apply the knowledge learned as well as enhance their writing and soft skills.
In order to meet the program requirement of 42 credit hours, the curriculum consists of 30 credit hours of coursework and 12 credit hours of dissertation.

Mode of study
This program is offered on 2 modes of study, which is either on a full-time or a part-time basis. The period of study for both modes is as below:
Full-time Basis
- Minimum: 4 semesters

Part-time Basis

- Maximum: 15 semesters
Faculty
The Master of Science (Management) program is taught by UUM College of Business faculty members and visiting professors who are experts in theoretical and practical aspects of business management and practices in Malaysia and overseas.
Teaching Style
A mixed method of teacher-centred and student-centred is used for curriculum delivery. The methods include lectures, discussions, seminars, field projects, individual and group work, presentation, and problem-based learning. Teaching materials are provided in an electronic form and conventional medium. In this program, students are expected to be more independent in their learning as the curriculum progresses. Electronic and online teaching, learning, and assessment is used, when practical and appropriate.

Students join our MSc. Management program to further their current executive career or to change to a management level in both private and government sectors. A wide range of career opportunities awaits those with Master’s of Science (Management). Managerial positions that are commonly available include Administrative Manager, Factory Manager, Financial Manager, etc.
