Introduction
More than ever, the global sport marketplace is in need of professionals with managerial and commercial but also sport-specific knowledge. With this in mind, the course develops advanced skill sets needed for managers to operate in the increasingly complex and dynamic sport industry.
The Master of Sport Management combines business literacy with sport-specific management learning. It provides theories, models and practical case studies in order to understand the complex nature of the sport industry. The course aims to produce graduates who: Are effective, collaborative and responsive professionals capable of managing, leading and inspiring in the field of sport management. Exhibit reflective critical thinking to optimise decision making and positive change through creative, evidence-based solutions. Take personal, social and ethical responsibility for their contribution to the sport industry. Acquire knowledge of methods to increase managerial performance and positive social impact through sport. Advance professional relationships through teamwork and engagement in a multi-faceted and diverse sport environment. Demonstrate cultural competency across a variety of sports and social settings.
