Introduction
The Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at FAUUSP (Master, 1971 and Doctorate, 1980) is one of the oldest in the country. Based in São Paulo, in a palace from the beginning of the 20th century - Vila Penteado, in the heart of the largest metropolis in South America, the stage of tensions and social and spatial transformations, it aims to awaken researchers and professionals to act in the face of the challenges of the Brazilian reality, having as principle the commitment of citizenship intrinsic to the duties of a public university.
The Program historically has a commitment to multidisciplinary training that characterizes the field of Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on a comprehensive approach, which distinguishes it. Center of excellence in the production of knowledge on Architecture and Urbanism, it brings together the three departments of the school and currently has 8 areas of concentration:
