Journalism and New Media (MA)

Journalism and new media provides the necessary knowledge and tools to work with everyone who is passionate about the journalist's work and mission. The role of independent journalism in a democratic order is extremely influential, journalists are rightly referred to as the fourth power. A journalist must be brave, uncompromising, resistant to political pressure, but also perfectly prepared for his profession, fluent in words, using non-verbal means of expression, well-versed in the secrets of new media.

Master's studies in journalism and new media provide knowledge and skills in the field of new media, students learn in depth modern tools, methods and techniques of information and communication (digital, network, mobile media); develop a specialist workshop of an internet and mobile journalist. They learn how to perform tasks typical for an e-PR specialist, e-marketer, how to create substantive, reliable multimedia messages about various types of events, phenomena and processes, how to create an image and brand, manage a crisis situation, cooperate with stakeholders, design, promote and advertise products or services. During the studies we will decipher all the secrets of the cyber world, we will teach advanced techniques of network communication, such as webwriting, smartwriting, copywriting, storytelling. We will show what it is and what possibilities it opens up with mobile journalism.
