Program Outcome
The study plan aims to develop the skills necessary to deal with the different issues and opportunities in the field of energy production and efficient energy use.
The alpine region in which the course is offered is especially relevant to the topic but is also extremely sensitive to the environmental pressures of the present level of resource exploitation.
The professional profile of the Master's graduate in Energy Engineering is oriented towards the design and operation of small to medium-sized energy production plants. In particular, it exploits renewable sources, combined heat and power (CHP) in district heating, and energy-efficient industrial systems and buildings. Energy conversion, energy distribution, and energy utilization
systems are the main areas of interest.
The environmental sustainability of energy utilization and the reduced exploitation of natural resources are the common basis for the different disciplines involved: electrical engineering, technical and building physics, fluid machines, and industrial engineering.

Career Opportunities
The course aims to train experts able to deal with the various aspects of planning, implementing, and managing integrated energy systems, such as production plants supplied from renewable sources, low-energy consumption buildings, and networks to transport electric and thermal energy from the production site to the local consumption sites. Energy engineers will work as independent professionals or in public and private companies, energetic and thermo-energetic industries, and public and private utilities.
Graduates can also access Doctoral Schools if they prefer to continue studying.
