Introduction

The MSc in “Materials Science” is a course offered by the Department of Materials to be completed over two years of full-time study commencing in October each year. Applicants to the MSc should have a bachelor's degree in naturals sciences, engineering, or mathematics. Relevant professional qualifications and experience may also be considered.

The MSc is designed to prepare students to solve problems in Materials Science and Technology. The program is broad, covering many aspects of both the science of materials and their technological applications. Special emphasis is given in the fields of nano- and micro-structured materials, molecular materials, biomaterials. The program includes coursework, projects, exams, and original research during the master theses in the last semester.
