Introduction
The "Contemporary Creation and Cultural Industries" (CCIC) master's degree was born from an unprecedented convergence. Its educational team brings together artists, designers, art theorists, and specialists in media cultures. The training is thus based on the complementarity of various disciplinary approaches. It places at the heart of her project the understanding of the mechanisms specific to contemporary creation in the media, from the conception of works to their circulation.
The knowledge transmitted aims to develop students' versatility and ability to master the history, aesthetic codes, and modes of communication specific to the various media of mass culture. The training pursues a triple scientific, professional, and creative objective: based on the work of research laboratories, its model is designed in connection with the design, art, and media industries and allows the development of a theoretical project/practice specific to each student.
The training will allow students to situate their creative practice and professional career in cultural industries by understanding the political and aesthetic issues. Developing a personal project based on creative and critical exploration is seen here as an essential component of advanced artistic or professional practice.
The design and writing of dissertations, notes - written elegantly and correctly, respecting presentation standards-producing audiovisual documents and artistic devices (in French and a living foreign language), will constitute the main work done by students. These productions will be based on a preliminary work of bibliography and Web resources review and supplemented by summary and progress presentations, written and oral. They will offer students the tools to lead innovative and creative initiatives in the field of cultural industries.
The targeted professions are diverse: managers of cultural spaces, managers, organizers or animators of events, cultural policy in museums or companies, production assistants, project managers (industry, publishing, media), journalists, assistants, and others; Communications consultants, press officers, attachés, editorial assistants and executives, advertising and marketing agency assistants.
