Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes taught in English

In our six faculties, you can deepen your knowledge in various fields, such as educational sciences, sports and health sciences, mathematics and natural sciences, information technology, business and economics, and humanities and social sciences.

We offer 18 high-quality, research-based master’s degree programmes in English. International students are welcome to apply to the two-year programmes, which lead to an officially recognised master’s degree and qualify for doctoral studies.

In addition to our master's programmes, you are welcome to join our brand-new Bachelor's Degree Programme in Business Innovation and Marketing.

A place for students

The city of Jyväskylä, located in Central Finland in northern Europe, is a safe and pleasant place to live. Founded in 1837, Jyväskylä now has 145,000 inhabitants, making it the seventh largest city in Finland. Thanks to the short distances and lively urban centre, all the services, shops, schools, and workplaces are close at hand. Nature is also a significant part of the living environment in Jyväskylä.

The JYU campus is a combination of modern style and classics of the famous architect Alvar Aalto. The campus highlights the significance of the Finnish and European education system as a basis for equal and democratic society. Seminaarinmäki campus was awarded 2022 with European Heritage Label.
