Introduction
In the MA in Innovative Leadership in Heritage Management, you will undertake a transformative learning experience in heritage, leadership, business, and environmental sciences to learn how to:
- Use heritage effectively and inclusively as a tool for community capacity building and changemaking.
- Effectively communicate cross-culturally and across stakeholders to create teams that function at the intersection of equality, diversity, inclusion, and social justice.
- Act locally and think globally to make sound, ethical decisions when faced with challenges in your workplace.
- Direct your heritage organization, business, or location confidently with the business and marketing experienced required of twenty-first century leadership.
- Provide innovative and visionary leadership to take your organization to the next level of sustainability for people, heritage, and the environment.

- Optional extended study abroad options. Students also have the option to live at Harlaxton College during the semester and/or summer program to participate in additional experiential activities to complement their coursework.

The MA in Innovative Leadership in Heritage Management (ILHM) program is designed to be flexible for traditional full-time graduate students as well as for working professionals.
The program can be completed in a concentrated 1-year full-time format, or more gradually over 2-3 years part-time. The majority of the coursework will be online, with two weeklong in-person courses required at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England. Students also have the option to live at Harlaxton College during the semester and/or summer program to participate in additional experiential activities to complement their coursework.
