Introduction
Sustainability Leadership is a two-year Master's degree program that combines high-level teaching in business studies with working life-oriented educational objectives. The program provides students with a carefully designed degree to empower individuals and organizations to take leadership in the sustainability transition and meet today's working life requirements related to sustainability leadership. Core themes emphasized in the program relate to topics such as circular and social economy, digitalization and sustainability, future leadership, and sustainable entrepreneurship. The study modes contain individual and collaborative learning, including expert lectures, interactive workshops, flipped learning, case exercises, and industry collaboration. The program is part of the University of Eastern Finland Research Center for Sustainable Circular Economy, which combines sustainability research in business studies and environmental policy with working life-oriented educational objectives.

The program qualifies students for a variety of expert-level positions in the fields of sustainable development in business, public sector, and third-sector organizations. Graduates from the program might work in positions such as Chief Sustainability Officer, Circular Economy Manager, Circular Economy and Sustainability Consultant, Sustainability Transition Manager, Environmental Specialist, or Sustainability Specialist, to mention a few. Students who have successfully completed the program will be awarded the degree of Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration).

Curriculum
The two-year program is taught in English and the curriculum is designed for students who will join a research community on sustainability research and study in close interaction with researchers and professors who are easily approachable for informal discussions and consultations on the topics of your interest.

Master's Degree Program in Sustainability Leadership 120 ECTS (Master of Science, Economics and Business Administration)
- Advanced level -studies in Accounting and Finance 70 ECTS* (courses in Major 30 ECTS; Master's Thesis and Seminar 40 ECTS)
- Other Studies (including methodological studies min. 10 ECTS and language and culture studies min. 4 ECTS) 50 ECTS
