Introduction
Graduates of the Master in Chemical and process engineering: Sustainable Technologies and Biotechnologies for Energy and Materials will have the training to go on to work in numerous fields, including the conventional chemical and process industry (petrochemical, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical), the widespread energy industrial sectors (up-stream and down-stream Oil&Gas, energy generation, green energy production), and many other specialized sectors (material production, food technologies, industrial biotechnologies, etc.).
Studying abroad, especially during the second term of the second year and for the Master’s research project, is encouraged, as well as carrying out part of students’ Master’s research project in the framework of the collaborative research projects between the University of Bologna and private companies or international research institutes. A Dual Degree Agreement is active with Columbia University in the City of New York (USA).

International Talents @Unibo: scholarships for international students a.y. 2024/25
The University of Bologna awards 80 new scholarships to deserving international students who wish to enrol in first, single, second cycle (Bachelor’s or Master’s) degree programmes in the academic year 2024/25.
Scholarships have a value of € 4,500 gross and include a full tuition fee waiver. These grants are awarded for one academic year, based on SAT and GRE test scores and the verification of financial status.
