Introduction

In the master's program in speech therapy, you immerse yourself in difficulties with language, speech, voice and swallowing.

There is an ever-increasing need for speech therapists in the special educational offer for children and adults, and the value of this competence in society is therefore great. As a speech therapist, you can get a job either in the education sector, the health sector or in research and development.

In this master's program, you will be qualified to prevent, map, diagnose, treat and research communication difficulties that are either developmental or that arise as a result of illness or injury.

Job

As a speech therapist, you will usually find work either in the education sector, the health sector or in research and development. Current jobs can, for example, be in:

Kindergarten

School

PPT

Municipality

Hospital

University and college

Difficulties with communication can be developmental or arise as a result of illness or injury. At the same time, communication, both oral and written, is essential for both social function and for school and professional life. The need in both of these groups is increasing. It is therefore very important for society that one has enough speech therapists available for the future to be able to meet these needs.
