Our graduates are able to find work in the offices of the State Forests administration, in community-based forest administration and with other forest owners, in national parks and landscape parks, in forest management companies, at the schools and universities running forestry syllabi and courses, and at forestry research institutes and other institutions engaged in both forest and area management.

Candidates applying for admission into a postgraduate program in a field that differs from their undergraduate studies must first earn at least 50% of the total number of credits available in the core and elective subjects included in the corresponding undergraduate curriculum. These candidates must submit an undergraduate diploma supplement showing all the core and elective subjects they covered during their undergraduate studies.

A candidate not meeting the requirement set forth in section 1 above may be asked to attend paid courses in such subjects as they need to cover in order to meet that requirement. However, this option will be only available when the number of such make-up courses is no higher than five. The fee charged for participation in the make-up courses will be equivalent to the fee charged for repeating the relevant course within a full- or part-time undergraduate program, as published in the Rector's Regulation valid at the time.

Bachelor's degree diploma (together with a supplement, if applicable) or another document of completion of studies abroad, which allow starting the second cycle studies in the country it was issued. Diploma should be legalized or given an apostille. Candidate should also provide a statement that his diploma allows him to take up the second cycle of studies in the country it was issued – if such a statement is not already written on the diploma**

certified translation of the documents to the English language done by a sworn translator

a document certifying the knowledge of English

medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to undertake education in a chosen field of study and form of education

a document that certifies the candidate's possession of health insurance or casualty insurance for the period of studying in Poland

**International qualification certificates obtained outside of Poland (except for the International Baccalaureate diploma and the European Baccalaureate certificate) have to be authenticated with apostille or legalized. This serves as the basis of acknowledging foreign documents as valid in the territory of Poland. If the documents are issued in countries that are parties to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961, apostille has to be obtained. The list of countries and institutions responsible in each country for issuing apostille may be found here.

Legalization, similarly to apostille, confirms the authenticity of a document issued in a country other than Poland. Documents have to be legalized if obtaining an apostille is not possible because the country that issued the document is not a party to the Hague Convention mentioned above. If the certificate was issued in such a country, you need to contact the institution responsible in this country for legalizing documents (in order to use them abroad). Usually, it is the ministry of foreign affairs or the ministry of education. After obtaining initial confirmation, the Polish consulate should be contacted in order to finalize the legalization of the document.

The University of Agriculture in Krakow derives its experience from the intellectual heritage and tradition of the Jagiellonian University. At this very University, agronomical and forestry sciences developed since 1890 and young people were educated with particular regard to their patriotic upbringing. From the moment when the Study of Agronomy was founded at the Jagiellonian University, agriculture has been permanently taught at the university level. Over the whole history of these studies, the subsequent generations of professors followed a common guiding principle, i.e. bringing up young people in reverence for civil liberties and ethical rules. For such an attitude, the members of academic staff often suffered repressive measures and some were even deprived of the right to teach. The current educational offer comprises 32 main fields with 65 specializations, there are about 9 thousand students enrolled in all types of studies. The University offers also postgraduate programs for Master's Diploma holders.
