University Institute of Mental Health of the Buenos Aires Psychoanalytical Association (APdeBA)
Introduction
The University Institute of Mental Health was created by the Buenos Aires Psychoanalytic Association. Its postgraduate courses are accredited by CONEAU and grant an Official Title from the Ministry of Education. The IUSAM is intended for teaching, training professionals, and research in the disciplines that study Mental Health, and the provision of services to the community in this area of knowledge, with an interdisciplinary approach.
Its purpose is the generation and communication of knowledge at the highest level, in a climate of freedom, justice, and solidarity, its primary purposes are teaching, research, and the provision of services, offering interdisciplinary human and cultural training aimed at the integration of knowledge as well as scientific and professional training, helping to promote the development of knowledge for understanding, study, prevention and assistance in the field of mental health.
One of the main objectives of the IUSAM is to become a center of excellence dedicated to promoting an adequate diversification of studies, with special attention to the care, prevention, and support of Mental Health of individuals, their families, and human groups, attending to the There are demands in this sense, both in the community and in the culture, to ensure levels of quality, excellence, and updating of the disciplines in which it focuses its activity, and to improve the human resources specialized in the care, improvement, and preservation of the Mental Health of society.
