Introduction
The master's degree in Management of Teaching Centres aims to meet the educational needs of students interested in the theoretical and practical aspects of managing non-university educational institutions. The course places specific emphasis on the development of professional skills.
The history of this master's degree goes back to 1986-87, when it began as a postgraduate course, meaning it draws upon thirty years' experience in the training of management teams and specialists in educational management.
The syllabus is centred on content related to the roles and functions of directors, assistant directors, heads of studies and academic secretaries, as well as heads of department and academic coordinators.
The teaching staff comprises lecturers from several UB departments, primarily the Department of Teaching and Learning and Educational Organization, and from other universities in Catalonia. Tuition will also be provided by external experts: directors and managers of public and private educational institutions, and educational inspection consultants and professionals, who will contribute to making the program more relevant and practical in terms of the real-life application of the topics studied.
