Introduction
Master's Degree in International Relations and Development Cooperation (RICS) trains participants to become professionals with multidisciplinary skills and high-level operational and analytical skills to work in international, government and non-government organizations, European institutions, Public Administrations and agencies that operate within the national territory and private businesses active in the international markets.
The Master's degree is obtained at the end of the Master's degree program. Those who obtain the Master's degree are awarded the title of "dottore magistrale" (Master's degree holder) according to the University's Didactic Regulations (Article 5).
Based on the agreement with the University of Dalarna (Sweden), a dual degree program is also available, which involves obtaining both the RICS degree awarded by the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the Master Course in African Studies from the partner institution.

Program Outcome
- develop specialized knowledge of contemporary international relations, the players involved in global governance, the main geopolitical issues, the spread of processes of democratisation, the institutions in emerging countries, cooperation policies of the international institutions, economic development policies and the dynamics of international journalism
- possess specific skills relative to the mode of operation of international economic institutions, problems of debt and sustainable growth, bilateral, multilateral, decentralized and non-governmental cooperation policies, relationships between emerging countries, processes of regionalisation and decentralisation, techniques for transforming and regulating conflicts, the political doctrines of global development and the role of the media and of international public opinion
- develop interdisciplinary knowledge and acquire functional methodological tools to design, coordinate and carry out international cooperation interventions in the fields of economic development, institutional consolidation, environmental sustainability and the protection of human rights
- acquire a high-level command of at least two foreign languages

The fields in which the graduate will find employment include organizations, national and international public and private institutions, economic and non-profit businesses operating in Italy and abroad that must, in various ways, compete in the international environment and that of developing countries.
The graduate will also be able to take on roles of responsibility and leadership in organizations that represent collective interests (political parties, trade unions for companies and workers, associations for the protection of the environment and human rights, associations of national or supranational interest or of a humanitarian, cultural and scientific nature).
