Introduction
Sustainable Development and Global Health goals cannot be achieved by technological development alone. We want to train a new generation of psychologists specialized in bridging the gap between science and society. Psychology and Social Sciences are crucial for behavior change and acceptance of innovation in food and health sciences.
The following are the learning objectives of the degree in detail:
- Detailed analysis of the contents and methods of the basic psychological disciplines, with a particular focus on their application to the field of food consumer behavior, lifestyle, and sustainability behavior.
- The development of multidisciplinary competencies, for example in the fields of nutrition, production, environment, economics, and sociology.
- Further development of the above competencies, for instance, planning and realizing research programs centered on the behavioral analysis of individuals, groups, communities, and organizations related to food, health, and sustainability.
A distinctive feature of the degree is the integrated vision of psycho-social and contextual processes, that guide and determine the behavioral choices of individuals and their communities under the One Health lens, with special reference to food consumption, health conduct, and behaviors favoring sustainability.

In case students receive other forms of financial aid (scholarships and accommodation offered by EDUCatt), the UCSC International Scholarship will not be awarded.
EDUCatt is the non-profit foundation that develops actions and strategies to promote access to higher education (the so-called DSU: diritto allo studio universitario) on behalf of Università Cattolica.
